Growing Into Greatness
Winder Foundation partners with young men and families from all cultures and walks of life who are cultivating postive, lasting change in our relationships, homes, schools and communities. We all carry seeds of greatness and potential. Yet today, many are left behind, caught in a tangle of fallout from a world out of balance. Social injustice, financial hardship and environmental damage can translate into immediate problems such as the lack of effective education or material resources, inequality, poverty and neglect. These present great hurdles for our young people.
Many boys, in particular, struggle in society, over-represented by social, emotional and educational challenges. Our desire for a better world rests in each of us making our unique contribution. Our mission is to support those who are ready to shift challenging life patterns into powerful new stories. Our work encourages people to establish strong learning communities and find opportunities to transform their current situations, discover their own solutions and create their own breakthroughs.
Our practical and pioneering programs help young men and families face the future with strength, wisdom and resilience. Our work is based on a whole-systems view, incorporating every aspect necessary to encourage positive change and realize true potential.
All Winder Foundation initiatives respond to the world's urgent need for engaged learners and authentic leaders with the strength, courage and skills to sustain us, our planet and future generations.
The B-Cool Program for Boys is our year-long, in-school self-development program for young men who are experiencing emotional, psychosocial, educational or behavioral challenges. The program is accompanied by workshops, guidance, counseling and mentoring for young men, their families and those who work with them.
Full Circle Family Coaching is for young people, especially boys and families seeking support and strength. We work with those who are adversely affected by challenges in their social, educational, economic or cultural relationships and environments.
Specialized Educational Programs and seminars, events and resources are available for youth, parents, educators and the general public.
Collaborative Work is carried out with other educational or youth groups, and family and government agencies to improve education and the advancement of life skills for youth and families.
Educational Research is conducted on new educational techniques and new forms of learning, leadership and life skills that help people effectively adapt to our changing world.
